WAR MURAL
PROJECT
Introducing Our First Project!
Oswaldtwistle Onwards is proud to introduce our very first community-led project:
The Tinker & Budget War Mural Project
This project is about remembrance, heritage, and community pride, shaped by local voices, guided by respect, and created with the community at its heart.
The mural will honour service and sacrifice while celebrating the strength, stories, and unity of Oswaldtwistle. From consultation to final design, this is a project that belongs to the people.
To make this happen we’ve invited two incredible mural artists
Hayley Garner – aka Aylo_Nomad
Christian Fenn – aka Seca_One
Both artists are part of The Butterfly Effected, a movement that uses art to bring communities together, tell powerful stories, and turn blank walls into something truly special.
We invite everyone to follow the dedicated Facebook page to stay updated, get involved, and
be part of the journey:

'LOOKING ONWARDS' - COLLABORATIONS!
We want to work with local businesses, community groups and organisations!
Oswaldtwistle Onwards is looking to provide a platform for local initiatives and ideas that will help Oswaldtwistle grow and shine. That's why we have launched Looking Onwards, a new online interview series whereby we will work with local groups to:
- Share and promote their plans
- Help reach potential sponsors and local businesses
- Support funding efforts wherever we can
- Helping get the wider community behind their vision
Some examples of who we are already supporting:
- Immanuel Cricket Club on the future of the club and grounds: a new cafe and improved seating area
- Oswaldtwistle St Mary's Football Club: creating new teams, training more grassroots coaches, improving and upgrading facilities, giving more young people in the town the opportunity to get involved with football
If you have an idea that will benefit our town and make a positive difference, email us!
OSWALDTWISTLE

The Facebook group aims to:
- Celebrate and foster creativity in the town
- Showcase the work and talents of local creatives
- Share expertise and skills
- Help build confidence in members
- Support each other and share ideas for branding, marketing and selling work
- Create a space for like minded people to develop friendships and engage in social events
